The Troutslayer

Welcome Trophy Trout Fishermen

John Fordyce here.

Thank you for stopping in at TheTroutSlayer.com

It doesn't matter how you found out me or my trout fishing website....it could have been through bumper stickers, emails, tee shirts or just seeing me on a beautiful Western Pennsylvania stream. Anyways,  I appreciate you pulling your line out of the water long enough to learn more about me, see some of my best pictures and learn my trout fishing tips. Please sign my guestbook, due to a programming error I lost all my submissions and I have to start again from scratch. I hope to build that up again soon.

BIG TROUT take a long time to catch and BIG PICTURES take a even longer time to load, so if you're on dial up....please be patient while the pictures load.

 A Very Interesting Fact:

10% of the Fisherman catch 90% of the Fish

...and you better believe my buddies and I are in that 10 percent and here are some of my picture to prove the point...! This picture on the left is by no means my biggest fish, its just a great picture from the Clarion River. I wish they were all this nice. I put him right back in and can't wait to catch him again in the spring. Live bait all the way. 4 lb test does the rest !!

Even though my son always calls me the Trout Slayer....I very rarely ever kill a fish. Chances are I take a quick picture and put them right back into the river to catch another day. Big fish take a long time to grow and there is absolutely no sense it taking and killing a fish...just to put him on your wall. Nowadays any good taxidermist can make a fish mount from a good quality picture.

Every once in awhile I keep a few and these guys were dinner. I was toying with the one all day long and after that 20 minute fight.....he was coming home with me. It was about 9 pm before I got out of there. But the fight these two put up was worth every minute.

Straight out of the Little Juniata, What a Lunker.....What a Day!
